Junku Nishimura（西村君古），1967年出生於日本西部山口縣的一個小煤礦村。18岁時，他去京都大学研究拉美事务。大学毕业后，担任一个俱乐部的DJ，之後，他也曾在水泥制造公司做過建筑工人。當他買了人生第一部徠卡M5後，他开始拍摄他工作的地方與周遭的市井小民。不久，Junku辞掉工作，成為一名自由攝影師，周游世界開始他的街拍生涯。
西村目前总部设在名古屋市和山口，而他就像一隻沒有腳的小鳥，記錄著這個世界最真實的面貌。他自己這樣說：“我是一個午夜的攝影師，右手徠卡，左手瓶子。”西村的作品，仿佛在閣樓裏拿出的塵封已久的那些美妙的記憶，真實而觸動人心。
