英國攝影師Nick Brandt將全部生命都獻給了非洲和大自然，1995年Nick Brandt在坦桑尼亞導演了一部Michael Jackson的音樂錄影帶，並且開始愛上了這裏的動物和植物。2000年Brandt開始了他的攝影生涯，2003決定放棄他成功的導演事業投身於他熱愛攝影和的非洲動物。
Brandt的攝影作品有一種特殊的感情，他那些引人深思的作品告訴了觀眾一個重要的事情。非法捕獵、砍伐森林、全球變暖威脅著未來的生態平衡和非洲物種的生長。
非洲的野生動物從未像在Brandt的照片中那麼華麗而神秘。他拍的大象如金字塔版厚重。他拍的犀牛相比碳更古老。他拍的猿猴比人類更聰明。非洲大地災難叢生，能夠像這樣忘卻戰爭和饑荒地沉浸在這片土地的照片中，難道不是一種恩惠嗎？這些照片提醒著我們，非洲對野生動物來說，是一個埋藏著巨大寶藏的家園。
這個專題為大家整理收集的九十九張作品時間跨越12年，是Brandt 2000年至2012年的作品，我按照時間的先後排列，也許會讓大家越看越覺得心情沉重，唏噓不已。這也算是對人類的一個警示。
