Paolo Ventura，當代著名影像藝術家，1968年出生於意大利，現居紐約。十九世紀的米勒畫出了法國鄉村農民辛勤勞動的場景， Paolo 則建構了鄉間娛樂與商賣交匯點的城鎮印象。只是Paolo 的掌間握著的不只是快門線或筆刷顏料，還有各種布料、黏土、厚紙板和切割刀。他不僅是個攝影師，同時也是導演與模型家。一幅幅讓人聯想起德國插畫名家 Michael Sowa 的風景，那些兩三層樓、覆著屋瓦和油漆淡去雨水侵蝕的牆面的屋宅，和傾斜不穩的椅子，其實是以Paolo 無師自通的手工、繪上細節顏色、精巧製作而成。他不僅出版了多部著作，而且他的展覽遍及美國和歐洲。
