俄羅斯攝影家Mark olich 出生於1974年，學習繪畫出身，後轉入攝影領域。作品多以描畫芭蕾舞為主，他的作品被私人和多家機構所收藏，並在世界範圍內有很大影響。
Mark的故鄉聖彼德堡算是俄羅斯芭蕾舞的搖籃，俄羅斯的芭蕾舞在世界上是最奪目的藝術瑰寶之一，聖彼德堡的芭蕾風格反映出了這個城市的獨特魅力。在聖彼德堡芭蕾舞演員的舞蹈中，形體的和諧像“水城”的河流般柔軟而富有韌性。芭蕾舞讓這個“北方之都”詩一般的美景以及有著清傲氣質和高貴血統的藝術家神奇地融合在一起。
早在前蘇聯時期，馬林斯基的基洛夫芭蕾舞團就因其將傳統和創新成功地結合而聞名於世。這個來自聖彼德堡的芭蕾舞團在紀律上也進行軍事化管理:沒有任何軍事操練能像這些天鵝的複雜的造型那樣準確無誤。每個芭蕾舞者都能做出其他人的舞蹈動作，他們上半身的舞蹈動作能做到一模一樣。這為他們幕後的受訓生活添加了傳奇色彩。馬林斯基劇院的俄羅斯芭蕾舞者們，在舞臺的燈光下綻放，舞者的一顰一笑都如此典雅別致，身上灑落的餘暉都能吟唱出柴科夫斯基的樂章。mark的靈感來源於這個傳奇的馬林斯基的芭蕾舞者，他用自己的攝影語言創作出了一系列耀眼的芭蕾舞精靈的相片。
