Melvin Sokolsky，美國攝影師、導演，1938年出生於紐約，並未接受過攝影方面的專業訓練，Melvin 在紐約長大並在21歲開始了自己的攝影生涯，他曾經為多本時尚雜誌做出卓越貢獻，最為著名的作品是為出版於1963年的《Harper’s Bazaar》（芭莎雜誌）所拍攝的“Bubble”（氣泡）系列。
這套作品是在還沒有PS的1963年拍攝的，穿越到21世紀，依然引領前衛風。而在玻璃球中的女性微側的S造型卻表達盡是優雅。拍攝過程中動用了起重機，將模特裝入一個巨大的塑膠球中“懸浮”在空中拍攝，這些模特和氣泡攝影出現在1963年的時尚芭莎雜誌裡，雖然當時很多人對這樣的作品不理解，不過當時這也引起了較大的震撼。
