阅读是一场旅行,无视时间、地点、身体桎梏,只有被经验认知限制。我们被指引到那片神秘之地。
读报或者读书,我们通常都会将之捧在手里。此刻,我们正在阅读的对象,不管它是一则新闻还是一首诗歌,抑或是一篇哲学文论,都会将我们的注意力及我们的部分想象力带到别处。
阅读中的孩子,总会气喘吁吁地跑向下一个神秘之地;阅读中的老人,总会追忆往事。他们都是在“旅行”。
即使是对一些很简单的字词的阅读,比如大写的“危险”或者“出口”,也都会激发一种移情:我们会在那一刻预知到危险或想象着接下来会出现“出口”指示牌。
当字词叠加成为句子,当句子填满整个页面,当页面连着页面讲出一个故事,这种移情就会成为一种旅行,而页面则会变成一种交通工具,一种让意义穿梭的交通工具。虽然如此,我们实际的阅读却只是安静地捏着书页而已。这就让手的姿势和意识的旅行之间产生了一种张力,这种阅读所带来的感觉便可以由阅读者的手势和姿态中透露。早在人类能够飞翔之前,正是这种旅行犹如飞翔。那些最先阅读荷马的人就这样飞往了特洛伊。
